ANOMIE

“Anomie” is an Indian Malayalam-language investigative thriller that follows Zaara, a forensic officer whose life takes a dark turn when her younger brother Ziyan, who has been undergoing psychiatric treatment, is found dead under circumstances similar to the deaths of their parents. Although his death is initially ruled a suicide, Zaara discovers disturbing inconsistencies in the case, including traces of a drug in his body and evidence linking his death to several other suspicious suicides. Her investigation brings her together with ACP Ghibran and leads to a shocking discovery involving neuroscientist Sanjay Hegde, whose secret research into near-death experiences and the preservation of consciousness has taken a dangerous turn. As the truth behind the deaths gradually emerges, Zaara is forced to confront betrayal, loss, and the devastating consequences of a conspiracy much closer to her than she imagined.
